Operationally, Firewall No Root relies on Android’s VpnService API to implement local traffic filtering. Importantly, no traffic is tunneled to external VPN servers nor forwarded to third parties.

Because of its use of VpnService, Android may display a “VPN” indicator during operation, which is an expected behavior for local filtering implementations.

Regarding privacy and data security, the app is developed in Germany with a commitment to transparency. According to Google Play’s “Data safety” disclosures, it does not collect user data for analytics or advertising purposes, nor share data with third parties. Connections used for updates are encrypted. The app refrains from creating activity logs aimed at profiling browsing behavior.
